Of What Origin Is The Last Name Kinsella?

I'm doing a heritage project for Social Studies. I found out that my great grandma was not originally an O' Schanusy but a Kinsella. Would her family have come from Ireland too?

It looks to be Irish.
Reply:According to SurnameDB.com, Kinsella is an Irish Gaelic surname from the nickname now spelled "Cinnsealach," which means proud. In Ireland there was a district called the Kinsellaghs, now part of the modern Co. Wexford, and the Kinsella surname is common in that part of Leinster
Reply:Yep, it's Irish! Doesn't really sound like it would be, does it? But it is! I've always thought it was a pretty cool name. =)
