Looking for help with a name of Polish origin?

I went to University with a lad I've lost touch with but would like to get in contact with him.

I'm trying to search various sites, but I can't for the life of me remember how to spell his last name, I've tried googling with what I think is the closest match but it comes back blank.

It is pronounced "Scripchick", but obviously spelled differently.

It's something like Szkrepczeck, but that could be completely wrong.

I'm kinda hoping some Poles with read this and be able to point me in the right direction of what this surname could be.

Cheers for any help.

Szkrepczyk is a Polish name.

The "cz" is pronounce like a combination of "ch" and "z"...

szkreh- chzek while rolling the "r"s.

Reply:I know a yan gebler hes polish
Reply:My parents were Polish

if it was pronounced scripchick it would be spelt Skripczik or Skripczek

If you think there's a Z near the beginning my guess is it would be Skrzipczek, we actually used to have Polish friends called Skrzipczak

you could try using a 'y' instead of the 'i' (skrzypczak)

hope this helps, and best of luck!
