we share the same interest as i am a roxas too. today i found out that the original spelling is actually rojas, meaning red. unconfirmed sources tell of a people from the area of galicia, spain who were red haired. an interesting reading would be the etymology of the roxas family in the philippines. this tells of the ancestry of the roxases,ayalas and much more from one of their more modern patriarch don salvador araneta. good luck!
