What is the origin of the name Marvin? because it does not sound spanish and its common in central America?

Whats the origin im Salvadoran American parents are from El Salvador. And my name is Marvin and in El Salvadors just in the village where i visit where my parents where born there is 5 marvins.

It is Welsh, Celtic, and/or Anglo-Saxon...
Reply:according to what I've been told the name means " Sea Friend " or " Sea Warrior " in Welsh depending upon the interpreter.
