How is the name Taka Hirose written using kanji? And are there any names of Japanese origin without kanji?

If you're talking about the famous musician, his real name is written as 隆 (Takashi) 広瀬 (Hirose).

Japanese names are traditionally written in kanji, but you could write his name in hiragana if you really wanted to. It would be たか (Taka) ひろせ(Hirose).

According to the Japanese Wikipedia, he writes his name in katakana as タカ (Taka) ヒロセ (Hirose).

In answer to your second question, yes, there are names of Japanese origin without kanji; Hamasaki Ayumi's first name is actually あゆみ and not 步. :)
